PAIN CONFESSOR Begin Work On New Material
November 16, 2004Finnish metallers PAIN CONFESSOR have finished writing four new songs for their sophomore album, tentatively due next fall. "New material seems to be heavier and the contrast between melodies and kick-ass riffs even stronger, just as predicted," PAIN CONFESSOR guitarist Tuomas writes on the group's web site. "There is some fast stuff, some slow and really heavy stuff. A few working titles: 'Powderburns', 'Butterfly', 'Life Keeps Bleeding'.
"We are going to demo the new songs as soon as they are in good enough shape which shouldn't take too long. Even though the pace is really intense DON'T expect a new album before next fall. We shall see what'll happen in the meantime. Perhaps we try out the new shit at the forthcoming live gigs."
PAIN CONFESSOR's debut album, "Turmoil", is currently available through Megamania Records. The band, who feature former members of such groups as A.R.G., JANE DOE 69 and NONSLIPLEVEL, play "melodic metal with clean and death metal vocals mixing various metal sub-genre influences into their unique style," according to an official press release. "Lots of guitar and vocal harmonies intertwine with atmospheric keyboards and tight rhythms. This is thrashy metal but there are no limits to the band's musical expression and imagination."
